Faculty of Nursing organizes its symposium on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the glorious October Victory
Under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, Faculty of Nursing, in cooperation with the Ahl al-Tawfiq Charity Association, organized an educational symposium on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the glorious October victory, in which Major General Staff Mahmoud Salem, one of the heroes of the October War, and Major General Hashem Abu al-Fadl, one of the heroes of defense, participated. Air Force and the October War, in the College’s Blue Hall.
The celebration included reciting poetry, speeches, and memories from the heroes of the October War.
In her speech, Dr. Nefertiti Zaki, Dean of the College, affirmed her pride in this occasion in which we remember the greatest epic in our modern history, which is the October Victory. She congratulated the military leaders and the valiant armed forces on this great occasion.
While Dr. Hanan El-Sherbiny confirmed that Egypt’s wealth in the October War was the human wealth that created the miracle of the crossing, stressing that we are now facing the second crossing towards building the new republic, and that we must be inspired by the spirit of October, which is considered a dream, and the October dream is a dream of pride, victory and dignity.
Participating in the celebration were Dr. Muhammad Farid, Head of the Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal, Director of the Fatwa House in Alexandria, Mrs. Safaa Tawfiq, Director of the Ahl al-Tawfiq Association, and Dr. Hani Morris, Director of Caritas, and a number of representatives of scientific, health, trade union and media bodies and institutions, and a group of faculty members, college workers and students.
Faculty of Education organizes an educational symposium on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan
Under the auspices of Dr. Abd al-Aziz Konsowa, President of the University of Alexandria, and Dr. Wail Nabil, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, and the supervision and support of Dr. Muhammad Anwar Faraj, Dean of the Faculty of Education, the organization of the community service sector and environmental development at the university. Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jamal, the head of the Al-Fatwa committee and the general manager of the Alexandria region, on the virtues of the blessed month and the lessons learned from this blessed month, and then answered the students' questions.
The lecture was attended by a large number of teachers, faculty members, including the college trustees and a large number of college students who interacted with the Sheikh's hadith.
Students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, use environmental waste to create distinctive artistic murals
Within the framework of the role of Alexandria University in serving the community, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, students of the Faculty of Fine Arts participated in implementing the sports mural on the wall of Alexandria University Stadium.
Dr. Nevin Gharib, acting dean of the faculty, indicated that the project involved 16 students from the faculty’s mural photography department as a graduation project, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Rajab and Dr. Donia Medhat, faculty members at the faculty. She explained that the project aims to recycle materials neglected in nature and transform them. For aesthetic field works in order to achieve the principle of sustainability and benefit from materials available in nature, she added that mosaics were used in implementing the entire project, and she pointed out that the students of the second year of the decoration department at the college implemented other ideas to transform environmental waste from wood and scrap into creative models with the aim of using them as cosmetic models for the fields in Alexandria for the coastal city to return to its splendor at the hands of its young artists.
Dr. Mahmoud El Maghraby appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Mahmoud El Maghraby, on the occasion of the issuance of the presidential decree to appoint him as Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary, wishing him success and continuous efforts to maintain the achievements of the faculty, stressing that all support and assistance will be provided to him for his success in performing his mission.
Student Training Project "Steps into Field" Fifth Session Commences its Activities
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the activities of the student training project, "Steps into Field", began on Wednesday at the Faculty of Agriculture, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Bahey El Din Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Sami Khalil, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Abdelfattah, Dean the Faculty of Agriculture at Saba Pasha Campus, and Mr. Magdy Saad El-Gharib, representative of the State Information Service, in addition to vice deans of the faculties, and a group of faculty members.
Dr. Mohamed Bahey El Din indicated that the "Steps into Field" project is being held this year in its fifth session for students of the faculties of Agriculture at Shatby, Veterinary Medicine and Faculty of Agriculture at Saba Pasha, and it will continue for two consecutive months, with the aim of refining students’ skills and qualifying them for the labour market through integration between sciences interested in the agricultural and veterinary field. This contributes to increasing employment opportunities, as well as creating small productive projects based on real feasibility studies. He added that the training project is attended by a group of professors at Alexandria University, in addition to some graduates of the project in its previous courses.
